Nov 3, 2014 -- Geocento, creator and provider of the online search engine for worldwide available satellite imagery, will be providing visitors to the forthcoming Esri European Petroleum GIS Conference with a preview look at their latest platform.
In early November, the Congress Centre in central London will once again see hundreds of Esri users from the European oil and gas user community come together to learn the latest software techniques, share ideas and to network.
EarthImages allows users to discover what satellite imagery is available for their area of interest from suppliers all over the world and from a vast range of sensors. With more and more satellites being launched the simple to use web-based service will be of great value to oil and gas companies whose activities extend all over the globe.
Commenting on how EarthImages adds real value to oil and gas workflows, GeoCento Managing Director Kim Partington commented; “EarthImages provides broad, supplier agnostic access to image search and planning over the web, covering both existing catalogues and new tasking, enabling users to be confident that they are optimising their use of this technology both in terms of cost and performance. As a new ESRI partner, we are now working to make this capability available also from ARCGIS to integrated satellite image planning within the leading GIS environment.”
The Esri European Petroleum GIS Conference will be held at the Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell Street, London between 6th and 7th November 2014. For more details about the event visit: http://www.esri.com/events/epug and for more about GeoCento EarthImages: http://www.geocento.com/
