PCI Geomatics Announces Student Licensing availability via Partnership with Studica Academic Reseller

RICHMOND HILL, Ontario, Canada—December 17, 2014: PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, today announces that it has entered into an agreement with Studica in which Geomatica software will be available to students for a significantly reduced price for the first time ever.  Studica will be distributing the software in North America through its webstore at Studica.com.

“Today’s student isn’t tied to the lab the way the students of only a few years ago were,” said Kevin Jones, Director of Marketing at PCI Geomatics. “By providing a low-cost alternative that allows students to work on their schedule using their own equipment, we are fulfilling one of the top requests we’ve received from the educational community.”

Since 1985, Studica has met the needs of students, educators and schools as the education source for software and technology products. The company offers education solutions through a wide range of products such as software, hardware and more. Major brands delivered by Studica include, Adobe, Microsoft, and more available at generous academic discounts for students.

“We selected Studica based on the company’s reputation as an established and trusted brand with a proven record of meeting the needs of the student market,” explained Arnold Hougham, VP – Sales and Marketing at PCI Geomatics. “I am pleased to be partnering with them to deliver cost-effective software to a very important segment of customers.”

Pricing for The Geomatica Total Educational Suite including SAR Polarimetric Workstation is $150 USD for a one-year license.
