U.S. Air Force Selects Intergraph® Government Solutions for Scheduled Maintenance Program (SMP) Transformation

Air Force Materiel Command to transform F-15 SMPs using Maintenance Steering Group-3 practices

MADISON, Ala., Dec. 19, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Intergraph® Government Solutions (IGS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intergraph Corporation serving the U.S. federal market, was awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) to transform the F-15 Eagle's Scheduled Maintenance Program (SMP) using Maintenance Steering Group-3 (MSG-3) practices. The contract is valued at $6.9 million if all options are exercised.

IGS' integrated MSG-3 solution, expressly adapted for and applied on military aircraft, will serve as the vehicle to transform the F-15 Eagle's SMP thereby enabling more effective and efficient maintenance of the F-15 fleet. IGS will deliver a new MSG-3 SMP baseline, commercial best practice technical data and the full range of capabilities to sustain the fleet over its lifecycle.

"IGS is enthusiastic about the opportunity to apply our value-added solutions to the F-15 fleet that have benefitted other Air Force weapon systems," said Gerald King, IGS senior vice president. "We are eager to provide the F-15 program office our proven world-class technical expertise for integration of commercial best practices that enhance aircraft safety, boost reliability, shrink maintenance costs and support extended lifecycles."

IGS will bring to the F-15 effort the experience and expertise that it applied in similar efforts for the C-5 and UH-1N programs. The firm's combination of relevant MSG-3 performance in both commercial and legacy military aircraft ensures a proven, low risk application of best practices for F-15. IGS will perform the work in Warner Robins, Georgia.

In response to the United States Department of Defense's aging aircraft fleets, declining budgets and increasing maintenance costs, IGS developed SmartMaintenanceFastSM, an innovative MSG-3 program for military aircraft and helicopters. SmartMaintenanceFast satisfies all requirements of the Airlines for America's (A4A's) latest MSG-3 revision (2013.1) and ensures full compliance with military-unique regulations, policies, missions and environmental requirements. Consisting of FleetVectorSM maintenance solutions and FleetInsightSM technology products, SmartMaintenanceFast ensures platform safety, high performance and affordability.
