MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 11, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  Frost & Sullivan, the growth partnership company, announced today that Frost & Sullivan Manufacturing Leadership Council (MLC) Global Vice President of Research and Editorial Director David R. Brousell, who co-founded the MLC in 2008 and led the organization's acquisition by Frost & Sullivan in 2012, will oversee the MLC's strategy as well as the development and delivery of products and services to its global executive-level membership.

"As we look forward to the MLC's global growth in 2015 and beyond, it is critical that we extend its pioneering vision as an organization where executives from throughout the manufacturing community come together to deal with common problems and take advantage of common opportunities," said Frost & Sullivan Global President and Managing Partner Krishna Srinivasan. "David has long been recognized as the visionary thought leader of the MLC. Today's appointment will enable him to drive the vision and success of the MLC further within the manufacturing community and Frost & Sullivan itself."

The MLC enters 2015 after a year of significant membership gains and product improvements. Membership grew rapidly in 2014 from across the manufacturing industry, including members from companies such as DuPont, Cardinal Health, Owens Illinois, Harley-Davidson, General Motors, Foley & Lardner, Amway and several others.

The Manufacturing Leadership Journal, the MLC's bi-monthly thought leadership publication, is now available on the iPhone as well as Google and Amazon platforms. In addition, the MLC's plant tour and roundtable program produced four successful events since last summer, including ones at American Axle & Manufacturing in August, Campbell Soup in October, Lexmark International in December, and at Lockheed Martin last month.

"Now, we are well underway with plans for the annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit and Awards event," said Brousell. "Top executives in the industry will come together to explore how such subjects and trends as Manufacturing 4.0, the New Millennials, the future of the factory floor, and how technologies such as 3D printing, the cloud and Big Data will affect their companies in the years ahead."

The Manufacturing Leadership Summit will take place June 2-4, 2015 in Carlsbad, CA. For more information or to register, please click here: http://www.mlsummit.com/.

Prior to founding the MLC, Brousell was Vice President and Editorial Director of Managing Automation Magazine. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Strategy at Softbank Comdex, Vice President and Editorial Director of Software Magazine, and Editor-in-Chief of Datamation Magazine.
