Mar 13, 2015 -- Fletcher Priest Architects has been granted Planning Permission to renovate and extend Dixon House on Fenchurch Street in the City of London. The Grade II listed office building by architects Emmanuel and Colcutt together with Lloyd’s Register of Shipping form the imposing entrance to Lloyd’s Avenue and the Lloyd’s Conservation area.
The stone façade with its eclectic range of classical architectural features is retained and restored, and the modern office space with sympathetic new additions at roof level, provide excellent views across the City.
The entrance off Lloyd’s Avenue is reconfigured with level access, and the reception incorporates new finishes that respond to the stone and metalwork of the former bank building.
Work is due to start next month with completion expected in September 2016.
