(Nasdaq: SNPS) today announced that Baikal Electronics, a Russian semiconductor company, has selected Synopsys' broad portfolio of IP, system-on-chip (SoC) architecture design and analysis tools and its Galaxy™ Design Platform, as well as its functional verification products for developing its SoC designs. The breadth of solutions adopted by Baikal Electronics include Synopsys DesignWare® IP, the Platform Architect™ tool with multicore optimization technology for architecture design and analysis, the Design Compiler® tool for synthesis, the IC Compiler™ product for place and route, IC Validator for physical verification, the StarRC™ tool for extraction, the PrimeTime® solution for static timing analysis and Synopsys Verification IP (VIP) and VCS® technology for functional verification.
