California Regions’ Contracts Are Valued At Nearly $25 Billion
CHICAGO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 24, 2015 — BidClerk 2014 data showed increases in total projects and total project value compared to 2013. Most notably, Los Angeles and San Diego saw rises of 6.5% and 3% respectively.
For California’s major metro regions, 2014 BidClerk data showed more than 7,500 new construction contracts were released for bid with a value of nearly $25 billion.
Nationally, BidClerk reported on 162,000 commercial construction projects valued at $455 billion in 2014. BidClerk saw an increase in the total contract values of more than $175 billion compared to 2013. These figures include both public and private work and represent the aggregate value of actively bidding commercial construction contract opportunities available in BidClerk's database.
According to BidClerk 2014 data, Los Angeles showed more than 2,400 new construction contracts were released for bid, with a combined value of over $6 billion.
A noteworthy project is the $45 million G12 Mixed-Use Development in Los Angeles. The project is headed by general contractor Bernards, architectural firm TCA, and developer Astani Enterprises.
For San Francisco, 2014 BidClerk data showed more than 1,800 new construction contracts were released for bid with a value of over $6.5 billion.
