EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – March 30, 2015 -- NI (formerly AWR Corporation) has released two new antenna design application examples using NI AWR Design Environment™ software titled ‘Design and Simulation of a 2.4 GHz/5.6 GHz WLAN Antenna on PCB Technology’ and ‘Design and Simulation of an ISM Band Antenna on PCB Technology.’ Both application notes were co-authored with Dr. Volker Muehlhaus of Muehlhaus Consulting & Software GmbH. Highlights include:
· Design and Simulation of a 2.4 GHz/5.6 GHz WLAN Antenna on PCB Technology - describes the design and simulation of a 2.45 GHz single band antenna, a dual band version for 2.4 GHz and 5.6 GHz, as well as sensitivities to PCB material tolerances.
· Design and Simulation of an ISM Band Antenna on PCB Technology - examines the co-simulation of an electrically small industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band antenna with the matching network built from surface mounted devices.
