Apr 10, 2015 -- OPEN MIND Technologies USA, Inc. will present hyperMILL 2015.1 in booth 678 at PMTS 2015 in Columbus OH from April 21-23. hyperMILL is a high performance CAM software covering 2.5D through 5-axis milling and drilling, mill-turn, and specialized CAM solutions for niche markets including tire mold and turbomachinery.
hyperMILL integrates into our hyperCAD-S® front-end with dedicated CAD for CAM functions, and also with popular CAD software systems SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. Each of these platforms can read industry standard neutral file formats and many popular native CAD formats. The integrated solutions allow users to run CAD and CAM concurrently, which eliminates data conversion issues and facilitates programming efficiency.
Machining topics include feature recognition on native and imported models, macro database to store best practice, high performance roughing from 2.5 axis up to 5-axis, and an array of multi-axis and 5-axis techniques. Collision detection and collision avoidance simplify the programming task and provide high quality tool paths. Programming automation is available in many levels including macros that store process knowledge, smart macros that include logic to adapt to the current situation, and CPF customized process features that can react to model data that is organized by color or layer or other attributes.
OPEN MIND develops postprocessors to enable standard and advanced machine control functions. Internally, a Centre of Excellence model is used to share postprocessor knowledge between country offices and from end-users.
