"From exciting, new leaders such as Danielle Applestone, David Lang, and Eric Stackpole to our partners from the early days, including Chris Anderson, Lenore Edman, EepyBird, Massimo Banzi, and others, the program illustrates the path of the Maker Movement and where it's headed. We're just thrilled to have these visionaries, innovators, and change-makers with us at the tenth anniversary of Maker Faire Bay Area and to share them with our attendees."

As with all of Maker Faire Bay Area, the presentations will be organized in ways that enable attendees to get the most from the program offerings and continue learning about how to integrate making into their lives no matter their skill level, age, or ability. There will be 200-plus presentations across 12 stages throughout the venue showcasing areas of interest such as electronics, science, DIY, education and making with kids, wearables and tech fashion, food making and homesteading, and technology and culture. There will be many opportunities to gain inspiration from leaders of the Maker Movement as well as get hands-on and learn to make a variety of projects.

Autodesk CEO Carl Bass Brings "Making with Kids" to Maker Faire Bay Area 2015 Program

Returning Goldsmith Sponsor and Maker Movement leader, Autodesk will be a key partner in the Faire's tenth anniversary celebration. Autodesk CEO Carl Bass loves to make stuff, especially with his kids. He'll share new Maker tools, techniques, and projects for kids, teachers, and parents in his presentation on "Making with Kids."

Autodesk's participation in Maker Faire Bay Area 2015 will also include the opportunity for Faire-goers to get hands-on with a variety of Autodesk tools, such as Tinkerplay, Tinkercad, and Instructables, designed for kids of all ages who want to play, create, and tinker. Autodesk will have a variety of interactive projects in which to engage Maker Faire attendees including a 13-foot-tall fighting robot, aptly named MegaBot, that will shoot cannonball-size paintballs at a car, as well as the winner of the Autodesk/MegaBot design challenge contest. MegaBot represents the future of sports entertainment with giant fighting robots. Makers of types, skill levels, and ages will be able to learn the basics of robotics from Autodesk and MegaBot by learning basic CAD modeling as well as circuitry programing with 123D.
