Practical Benefits of KISTERS’ 3DViewStation Emerge During COE Customer Presentation

KISTERS exhibits its 3DViewStation visualization software to CATIA users at annual event

May 19, 2015, Citrus Heights, Calif. - KISTERS North America, Inc. was on hand in April for the COE Annual Conference & TechniFair to exhibit 3DViewStation visualization software to CATIA users, but also to support its current users who are helping the larger CATIA audience understand how 3DViewStation can provide greater efficiencies as well as cost savings.

“The COE event is a remarkable gathering of Dassault Systèmes software users, and we always appreciate and learn from the feedback from our customers at this event,” said Germar Nikol, director of visualization technologies at KISTERS. “Seeing how each of our customers uses the 3DViewStation within their systems helps us to continually provide upgrades that enhance their experience.”

“This year for instance, Jennifer Frady, PLM Engineering Administrator of Great Dane – one of our 3DViewStation users – offered a presentation on Model Based Definition (MBD),” Nikol explained. “Great Dane, a leading semi-trailer manufacturer, has completed a MBD trial implementation in one area of their build with positive results and are now preparing to go company-wide, one model and plant at a time.  Implementing MBD using 3DViewStation’s 3D PDF capability will enhance communication from engineering to manufacturing in a way that will boost quality as well as greatly improve their ROI.”

COE (formerly the CATIA Operators Exchange) helps users and their company leverage their Dassault Systèmes PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions through education, training, networking opportunities, product influence and best practices available exclusively to COE members. The COE Annual Conference & TechniFair, this year held in Charleston, South Carolina, is the premier user-driven event for the users of the CATIA Brand.

“No one stands alone in the world of technology and software and it is vitally important for users to understand the potential that is out there to enhance their current systems with products such as 3DViewStation,” said Jim Eardly, Manager, North American Sales, 3DViewStation. “The COE Conference provides an impressive forum for users to be exposed to the wealth of new hardware, add-on software and services that are available from Dassault Systèmes SCP partners and independent software companies like KISTERS.”

“Jennifer’s presentation in particular highlighted the importance of discovering and implementing these valuable tools to enhance the CATIA experience,” he added. “We were gratified by her commitment to our product and impressed with the successful rollout that has been so helpful to Great Dane’s continued growth.”

The KISTERS 3DViewStation is a viewing tool suitable not only for dynamic engineering collaboration but also for downstream users who benefit from visualization and understanding of 3D CAD data.
