Excellicon’s comprehensive end-to-end constraints solution results in significant business growth and adoption at major companies

June 4, 2015 -- Laguna Hills, CA. – Excellicon Inc., today announced it achieved nearly 300% business growth for its fiscal year ending April 30, 2015. The rapid growth is attributed to significant acquisition of Excellicon products by many of top ten semiconductor companies as well as innovative smaller to medium size companies, which recognized the gap in their timing constraints design and validation methodology.

The complexity of designs and high density of IPs with many functional and test modes, along with ever-smaller process nodes is necessitating tight control of timing constraints for chip implementation. The need for automation and control is essential as the constraints files have grown in number as well as complexity. Majority of design teams have used little to no automation. Larger organizations with dedicated CAD teams have developed their own internal tools at high cost for development and maintenance of internal products.

According Rick Eram, Sales and Operations VP at Excellicon, "Keeping timing information consistent across all design stages whether it is for different ASIC design stages, FPGA prototypes, or emulation is a tremendous and time consuming task and open to bugs slipping through the manual validation process. Excellicon’s integrated products provide an end-to-end solution that not only minimizes the risk but also ensures comprehensive validation of timing constraints. Innovative companies recognize the need for automating their timing closure flow for better predictability and lower risk of silicon respin. Our business growth indicates the need for automation in timing constraints generation and validation for the entire design flow. We believe our new product offering; Concert-ET (Exceptions Toolbox) will fuel even faster growth in the coming year”.
