Theorem releases Publish 3D V.18 for NX users

Theorem’s Solutions is pleased to announce that the latest Publish 3D V.18 is now available and ready to ship with new and improved product features and enhancements for Theorem’s Publish 3D suite of products for the NX user.

Theorem’s Publish 3D for NX supports NX 8.5, NX 9 and NX 10 and includes the introduction of a multi template PUBLISH mechanism, enhanced wireframe and PMI support.

Integrated within the Siemens NX application, V.18 uses Theorem’s Publish 3D suite of products to publish NX data as a 3D PDF, allowing the user to create a PDF documents containing interactive 3D representations of the native CAD model embedded within the document.

The Publish 3D function enhancements for V.18 include the original TEMPLATE mechanism  being replaced with the preferred PUBLISH mechanism and the introduction of a Multi-template PUBLISH mechanism which allows for the 3D data to be written to one or many output PDF files with any additional meta data such as AVI’s, hyperlinks and Power Point presentations attached.

V.18 also features enhanced wireframe support, with the wireframe nodes being grouped based on colour, ultimately to simplify the assembly tree along with an added option that provides control over how the wireframe is processed by controlling the tessellation quality.

Other additional V.18 functions for the NX user include, added support to read NX PMI associations and a simplified redesign of the dialog box for the NX Save As to 3DPDF feature.

There has also been added control for the lighting, render and activate modes and extra support for the Theorem Unified Interface.

Theorem’s Publish 3D (recently rebranded from 3D PDF Publisher) allows the user to easily create and share PDF documentation containing embedded interactive 3D data published directly from native CAD data without the need for third party applications. Published interactive 3D models contained within a standard PDF document can then be viewed and interrogated. Components within assemblies can be turned on and off, shaded and rendered for technical authoring and viewed as either a solid, wireframe or even cross-sectioned, all using the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader

The Publish 3D suite of products for Siemens NX supports 3D annotations and dimensions PMI from NX into 3D PDF as well as supporting model based definition (MBD) processes for downstream activities in manufacturing and for use by the supply chain .The working PDF document can be annotated, shared and additional media embedded.  This could include text, PowerPoint files, spreadsheets, AVI movies and hyperlinks to additional online information.

Theorem’s strategic partnership with Siemens and Adobe ensures that there is a parallel development between the latest releases of NX, Theorem’s CADverter and Publish 3D products, allowing Theorem Solutions to continue to provide the latest data solutions for the Siemens community.
