Ingeciber S.A. & MSC Software Announce First Release of CivilFEM® with Marc

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(June 23, 2015) – MSC Software Corporation and Ingeciber S.A., a specialized civil engineering CAE company with more than 28 years of experience in civil engineering today announced the first release of CivilFEM® 2015, powered by Marc.

CivilFEM 2015 is a unique simulation solution that provides sophisticated system-level structural simulations of large commercial buildings, bridges, tunnels, nuclear power plants, and other structures. Miguel Angel Moreno, CEO of Ingeciber, said “CivilFEM is powered by the advanced nonlinear finite element capabilities provided by MSC’s Marc solver, which enable robust, efficient, and accurate simulations for the infrastructure, energy, construction and mining industries.”

CivilFEM 2015 has its own user friendly multi-language GUI, extensive pre- and post-processing capabilities, is easy to learn and use, and is designed with the civil engineer in mind.

John Janevic, MSC’s Vice President of Strategic Operations, said “CivilFEM 2015 powered by Marc can dramatically improve the efficiency of the structural design and analysis process, identify better solutions earlier, and reduce the risk of innovative construction processes.” Key enabling capabilities include design verification according to international reinforced concrete and structural steel standards, as well as other civil engineering standards, all of which are built in to CivilFEM 2015 powered by Marc.  Specific civil engineering structural analysis output such as load path history, automatic response spectrum for seismic analysis, and nonlinear time history analysis are fully supported.

Model generation is highly efficient because of the library of materials and hot rolled structural steel sections, included in CivilFEM 2015. Highly accurate solutions are possible because all material properties are time-dependent, and allow the definition of true stress-strain diagrams and advanced nonlinear behavior.

CivilFEM 2015, powered by MSC Software’s Marc nonlinear FEA solution, is available exclusively from Ingeciber and its distributors worldwide.
