The July issue of Manufacturing Engineering magazine highlights these 30 young manufacturing professionals and students for their accomplishments. Among the standouts: Christopher Tyler, 28, who worked with the U.S. Air Force on optimizing the topology of flapping wing vehicles; Kathryn Tillery-Merk, 28, who manages projects to close manufacturing technology gaps, such as those with intelligent machining; and Rachel Battershaw, 23, a Spirit AeroSystems' principal investigator on two major programs, the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
"These talented and hardworking professionals and students are the future of manufacturing," said Manufacturing Engineering magazine Editor-In-Chief Sarah Webster. "Their stories demonstrate that a career in manufacturing can be important and rewarding.
