IoT? No more excuses. Solair to launch “IoT-in-a-Box”

Aug 5, 2015 -- The Internet of Things offers several opportunities, but not always IoT is easily approachable by anyone. For this reason, Solair today announces “IoT in a Box”, the first IoT “off-the-shelf” product that allows you to connect machines, things and sensors in a few clicks.

With “IoT-in-a-Box” Solair offers a cloud-based application and a smart gateway that talk with different types of sensors. Sensors can either be “on-board” of machines or applicable to an object. Through the gateway, with only few clicks, things can be connected to the network and to a specific Solair’s cloud application which gives the ability to instantly visualize data and charts.

Everything happens in few minutes: no need to write a code or develop a firmware, the support is assured for innumerable types of sensors, the set-up is immediate and can be completed directly by anyone, data security and scalability are guaranteed by the characteristics of the Solair platform.

The IoT is the future, but practically connecting things and making them talk is not that easy. Companies often do not know where to start and how. Putting together all the bits of a stack is a complex task. The offerings are not clear. Once a solution is conceived, companies would like to be operational in the shortest time possible, however the times are long on average.

With IoT-in-a-Box, however, you can make objects ‘smart’ in four easy steps: connect the sensors to the gateway, establish your monitoring environment, select your sensors from a library or create new sensors in the Solair application, immediately begin monitoring, having access to the 'stuff' from anywhere, with any device, anytime.

Accessing the benefits of the IoT becomes easy and affordable for all, cutting costs, time and complexity, with the great advantage of working on enterprise-grade hardware and software. What does it mean? If you want to switch from prototyping to production or if you want to add things, the platform is ready to scale and to support greater complexity.

Solair, always engaged in helping companies to simplify the design and development of IoT applications even in very complex industrial environments, continues to expand its range of IoT solutions, with a turnkey package for 'starting' with the IoT in a few clicks. This product comes few weeks after the latest launch of the company, Smart Factory Advisor, a new plug & play solution that Aiwa has already chosen to introduce the logic of smart manufacturing in its factories.

IoT in a Box is also an opportunity for the channel and the IT resellers, which have finally the possibility to insert in their portfolio a “ready-to-use” IoT product.
