BLAKHAT Multimedia Visual Arts Project Premieres on iTunes

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 31, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  BLAKHAT's multimedia attack on pop culture, "Who You Are," reflects on the lives we are driven to live. "Who You Are," the first of three installments of the BLAKHAT project, considers both the choices we make and the broken world we all continuously perpetuate. Not just albums, but fully realized films, the three visual conceptual albums explore themes of power, control, ego worship, society, and the commodification of the human experience. Each of the 22 songs features a film that ties them into the greater story that will unfold as the remaining albums are released. Hailing from Hollywood, CA, BLAKHAT is creating a new sound that provokes listeners to question what they think they know.

Other appearances in the three-part opus include Steven Tyler, Francesca Eastwood, Robby Krieger, Norman Reedus, Julianne Hough and Tallulah Morton.

BLAKHAT's 'Who you Are' visual album is available on iTunes now.

More about BLAKHAT

BLAKHAT is a conceptual, multimedia statement-oriented performance art project intended to provoke thought and instigate change. Street art, conceptual visual art, music, commentary and poetry all combine, pointing out the hard truths of society, government control, religious fanaticism, celebrity worship, social media addiction, and the dumbing down of culture.

The identity of the BLAKHAT is deliberately kept secret. Much of the focus will be on the art and less focus on "another pretty face."  Despite the mystery, BLAKHAT's message is clear:

"There was a time when great artists, musicians, filmmakers, and writers created for themselves, for art's sake, regardless of the current times and trends. In the past, art pushed boundaries to make us question reality and our place in the world, to foster radical change. Success is no longer gauged on those metrics, but rather on how much money or popularity an 'artist' generates for themselves. Art is not created to provoke, but instead to placate and create profit. Art today is created for the audience, not to challenge the audience."
