Appvion Introduces High-Speed Inkjet Paper Line - Triumph™

APPLETON, Wis., Sept. 10, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  Appvion, Inc. has announced a new name as well as additional changes for its high-speed inkjet offering, Triumph High-Speed Inkjet Papers. The Triumph brand, as the name suggests, represents inkjet papers designed to deliver superior quality and productivity for both web-based and sheet-fed inkjet systems used by commercial, publishing and in-plant printers as well as in data centers. Triumph High-Speed Inkjet papers are available in treated and coated versions and are an ideal choice for high-color direct mail, commercial and trans-promotional applications.

Appleton Papers has changed its company name to Appvion, Inc. to reflect the full scope of its business.

"These products will deliver excellent results and superior value," said Ethan Haas, Appvion's vice president and general manager of carbonless and specialty papers. "We carefully engineered Triumph High-Speed Inkjet Papers to yield outstanding print and image quality. They offer the optimal smoothness and formation that translates into exceptional runnability and hassle-free performance in post-printing equipment. They're perfect for transactional, transpromotional, direct mail, catalogs, books and many other applications suited to high-speed inkjet printing," Haas added.

The new Triumph offerings have been designed to meet both the current and future needs of the rapidly growing inkjet segment. Both treated and coated versions will be available in a range of basis weights and sizes that ensure users have the right product for their application. Triumph Treated papers have recently been reengineered to exploit a unique universal surface that's fully compatible with both dye and pigment water-based inks. Triumph Treated yields vibrant color reproduction over a wide gamut with uniform print density, sharp lines and even solids. The paper offers both high brightness in a new blue-white shade and high opacity for excellent image contrast and less show-through. Triumph Treated allows for quick ink drying and outstanding smear resistance.

Triumph Treated papers are now available in white and cream in an expanded basis weight range from 50 lb. text to 7 pt. Triumph Coated offers the same print attributes but with surface finishes ranging from matte to gloss. Triumph Coated papers will be available in popular basis weights, roll widths and sheet sizes later this fall. Custom making options are available for both Triumph Treated and Triumph Coated.

Triumph is available to merchants and printers in low minimum order quantities and in custom rolls widths and sheet sizes. Appvion will work with customers to develop high-speed inkjet products that have custom colors and basis weights. The company ensures timely delivery via its network of strategically located distribution centers. Triumph High-Speed Inkjet Papers have been qualified on major OEM presses including Canon Océ, Ricoh, Hewlett Packard, and Screen. Appvion also offers customers technical support for product testing.

The papers are acid free, elemental chlorine free (ECF), and manufactured under ISO 14001:2004-certified environmental management systems. FSC® Certified (FSC-C003368) product versions are available upon request. And Triumph High-Speed Inkjet Papers are made in the U.S.A and covered by Appvion's 100% satisfaction guarantee.
