The Marvell EZ-Connect Wireless Microcontroller products offer a complete platform solution to customers by delivering the tools and expertise to help them develop more cost effective solutions with reduced time to market.

Earlier this year, Marvell announced 88W8997, the industry's first 28nm Wi-Fi 11ac 2x2 Wave-2 and Bluetooth combo product. 88W8997 unlocks innovative use cases and peer-to-peer applications by taking wireless connectivity to the next level with enhanced radio performance, lowest power consumption, and high level of integration, as well as new capabilities such as Wi-Fi Aware, precise indoor location and spectral analysis.

The 88MW300/302 Wi-Fi Microcontroller SoC, the flagship chip in the EZ-Connect family, has been available since early this year and has already been adopted by leading global OEMs to develop a broad range of IoT products including: White Goods, Air-Conditioners, Thermostats, CO/Smoke Detectors, Toys, Wireless Storage, HomeKit accessories, and other Smart-Home products. The first OEM products are already in the market and many new products are expected to launch in the coming months. Marvell has also partnered with leading smart-home platforms including previously announced partnerships with Apple's HomeKit and Xiaomi's Smart-Home solution.

The 88MW300/302 Wi-Fi Microcontroller SoC is supported by a Software Development Kit that includes tools and documentation to help rapidly engineer connected devices, allowing developers to focus on the unique features, services, and applications of their IoT product. In addition to programming in C/C++, developers can script applications in JavaScript using KinomaJS, a comprehensive and open source JavaScript 6th Edition runtime optimized for embedded microcontroller class products.

Marvell also announced today a growing ecosystem of partners including IoT Cloud platform providers, wireless module suppliers, and engineering design houses. Marvell's IoT ecosystem partners further facilitate and simplify the development of IoT products and provide OEMs with a choice of trusted complementary products and services to develop their products.

In addition to the 88MW300, Marvell also announced that its integrated Dual-Mode Bluetooth Microcontroller SoC (88MB300) is available today. The highly integrated SoC with a powerful Cortex-M3 microcontroller and generous 512kB SRAM along with dual-mode Bluetooth 4.2 support, enables a new class of Bluetooth enabled products and is being used by customers developing toys, IoT gateways, remote controls, wireless audio, HomeKit accessories, and automotive solutions.
