Printr is Celebrating 1st Birthday at the TCT Show The Element & FORMIDE Will Be Showcased For The First Time

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, September 29, 2015 - Printr, a 3D printing software company, is celebrating their first birthday this week! They will celebrate by debuting The Element during the 20th anniversary TCT Show + Personalize in Birmingham - the biggest 3D technology show in the United Kingdom.

The Element is a sleek & powerful streaming device that plugs into a user’s existing 3D printer via USB. Experience the functionality of a next-generation 3D printer simply by connecting The Element. At the TCT show, the Printr team will exhibit the power of slicer-friendly FORMIDE, the creation management platform that powers The Element.

"Bearing in mind that a majority of the 3D printing users today have already determined their favorite slicer, slice profiles, design software, and 3D printer - we recognized that the FORMIDE platform needed to complement the current workflow of existing users as well as introduce a productive experience for new makers." - Chris ter Beke, CTO. The Element currently supports over 100 desktop 3D printers.

Not only can users import their tested and proven slice profiles directly from their favorite slicers, but they can also either drag & drop Gcode generated from their favorite slicers or use the integrated Katana slicer. The custom-built slicer is cloud based, which makes slicing incredibly fast and efficient. However, it can also be used in the offline mode when there is no Internet available.

The Element gives flexibility to those with multiple printers, projects, and users. This is especially helpful in education and office settings. Through the FORMIDE platform it is simple enough to monitor multiple projects on multiple printers, regardless of the brand. It’s all about organization and ease of use to simply be productive.

Visit the Printr booth at TCT to see The Element in action, meet the team, and to get the latest scoop. More announcements about new website and partnerships will be made in the coming weeks. Read all about Printr’s first year on their blog.
