Lattice Technology to Attend PLM Europe — Siemens PLM Connection 2015 in Berlin, Germany

BERLIN, GERMANY, OCTOBER 27, 2015 -- At the conference, Lattice Technology will be demonstrating authoring of interactive 3D technical communications directly from Teamcenter® using Lattice3D Studio Connector™ for Teamcenter and Lattice3D Publisher Connector™ for Teamcenter; products save authoring time and increase productivity on the assembly floor. Lattice Technology, Inc., an industry leader of technical communication software for the manufacturing industry, will be attending PLM Europe— Siemens PLM Connection 2015, October 26-28 in Berlin, Germany.

The company will be demonstrating the Lattice3D Studio Connector for Teamcenter and Lattice3D Publisher Connector for Teamcenter in booth #39. Ideal for companies that produce products with high part counts and complex geometry, Lattice Technology’s products increase productivity and enable higher quality technical communications.

In May 2015, Lattice Technology announced the availability of two connectors that enable Teamcenter users to easily take advantage of Lattice3D solutions while in the Teamcenter user interface. The Lattice3D Studio Connector for Teamcenter and the Lattice3D Publisher Connector for Teamcenter allow users to create, update and publish work instructions or any technical communication available from Lattice Technology.

Siemens Teamcenter is a leading product lifecycle management (PLM) solution that helps companies improve productivity by managing the lifecycle of a product–from engineering design and manufacturing through sales and customer support. The Lattice3D solutions repurpose 3D design data from virtually any CAD system. These connectors enable Teamcenter users to use model data from NX and JT and business data stored in Teamcenter. The connectors are accessed from the Teamcenter menu or with an icon, letting users easily move back and forth between Teamcenter and the Lattice3D environment.

“Many other solutions on the market today can’t effectively handle very large assemblies—they either take too long to load, or they simply can’t load them at all,” explained Bill Barnes, General Manager, Lattice Technology. “Because Lattice3D models are accurate and ultra-lightweight (usually one-half of one percent of the native CAD model), users can easily handle heavy data. With Lattice 3D, even assemblies with thousands and thousands of parts can be examined using a standard laptop or tablet.”

Today’s technical communications solutions with Lattice Technology feature:

  • Detailed product imagery and animations. Minimal or no language needed— images are understood in all languages.
  • Step-by-step images and animations to clearly demonstrate work processes.
  • Complete product definition is repurposed from virtually any CAD system—part geometry and meta data.
  • Associative updates. When a change occurs upstream, updates are clearly identified with options for managing.
