Evana Automation to Ship 12 Assembly Stations to a Prominent Small Engine Manufacturer

The Evana assembly stations will allow the customer to manufacture new engine models on the existing main assembly line

EVANSVILLE, Ind., Jan. 27, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —   Evana Automation Specialists, a leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems, recently received a contract to provide 12 assembly stations to a prominent small engine manufacturer. The Evana assembly stations will allow the customer to manufacture new engine models on the existing main assembly line.

Each of the 12 automatic assembly stations will be designed and built to meet the customer's required cycle rate of five seconds part-to-part. The assembly process begins when an engine block is loaded onto the assembly line. The block will travel through a mixture of automatic and semi-automatic assembly stations, which include a servo-controlled press station, a vision-controlled gasket dispense station, multi-spindle torque and angle-controlled torque stations, and several single-spindle torque stations. Throughout the process, a number of error-proofing and traceability methods are employed to assure the quality and integrity of the engine.

"We are proud to work with this industry-leading manufacturer again," said Randy Wire, general manager of Evana Automation Specialists. "This flexible assembly solution will assure product quality and simplify the process of meeting new product requirements."
