Missler’s TopSolid MachiningCloud Connection is Now Available

February 02, 2016 — Missler Software, a leading CAD/CAM/ERP software developer, has introduced a new MachiningCloud connection for TopSolid providing its user access to the MachiningCloud’s cutting tool product data from within TopSolid.  TopSolid customers now have direct access to complete and up-to-date cutting tool product data from the leading cutting tool manufacturers available on the MachiningCloud.  With the completed TopSolid MachiningCloud connection, Missler can offer its customers key benefits:

  • Search for tools from multiple manufacturers quickly in one place
  • Access manufacturer’s expert cutting tool recommendations
  • Quickly filter a universe of possibilities down to an optimum solution for a given workpiece
  • Import the selected product data  into TopSolid for programming
  • Utilize the  3D models for simulation and 2D drawings for documentation

“The mission of MachiningCloud is to bridge the gap between cutting tools and software, and streamlining the machining process to save time and increase accuracy.” says Christophe Rogazy, Cloud Evangelist for MachiningCloud.  “By bringing together valuable cutting tool resources in one application, this simplifies the cutting tool search process and gives users many more options and helps them make better tooling decisions. By joining forces on MachiningCloud, TopSolid ensures greater and more seamless flow of information throughout its customers’ shops.”

Didier Fistolet, TopSolid’Cam Product manager declares: “The capability of importing accurate tools in 3D, of automatically assigning suppliers’ features like cutting edges or shapes that have a high risk of collision or cutting angles is not only a pledge of security and performance, but also the guarantee to reproduce within TopSolid'Cam the reality of the workshop. As a matter of fact, when combining with the other advantages of our solution, TopSolid users can effortlessly monitor all constraints at the programming stage and thus minimize or even eliminate the setup times. The Machining Cloud interface is quite important to our customers as they directly access comprehensive libraries in an automated and secure manner.”
