MINNEAPOLIS & REHOVOT, Israel--( BUSINESS WIRE)--  Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq:SSYS), the 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions company, announced its Chief Business Officer,  Joshua Claman, will participate as a speaker today at The Economist Events’ annual  Innovation Forum, in Chicago. More than 250 innovators, Fortune 500 CEOs, policymakers and entrepreneurs from around the world will gather to envision the “company of the future” and discuss how the companies of today can achieve the transformations they need to succeed tomorrow.

Claman will be a panelist on the roundtable discussion: “Transparency, sustainability and localization: Rethinking the global supply chain.”

The panel will discuss how 3D printing makes local manufacture easier; How on-shoring will impact the global supply chain; How will the company of the future build products closer to the customer; Strategies for managing the risks and opportunities of supply chain transparency; and What it means to be a truly global company in the 21st Century.

3D printing is a truly lean, yet agile production process that is able to make parts on demand. It is as cost effective to print 1,000 variations of an object as it is to make 1,000 identical objects.

The forum is chaired by The Economist's China Business and Finance Editor Vijay Vaitheeswaran, and The Economist editors will lead the debate among various industry leaders, from banking, technology and manufacturing, among others. This will be the second year the forum will convene in Chicago, further promoting the growth of innovation in the Midwest.

"We are excited to bring the Innovation Forum back to Chicago - a major innovation hub in the United States - to discuss the business models that will drive success in the economy of the future," said Vijay Vaitheeswaran, China business editor for The Economist.
