Methodics Introduces Next Generation IP Lifecycle Management Platform

ProjectIC 2.0 delivers cost and time to market savings to companies by enabling a platform based design methodology introducing efficiencies in how companies create and reuse designs in the product development process.

San Francisco, CA June 6, 2016 – Methodics Inc, a leader in platform based design, storage optimization, and workspace acceleration solutions for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, today announced ProjectIC 2.0, a next generation IP Lifecycle Management Platform.  ProjectIC 2.0 will deliver efficiencies to SoC companies by enabling streamlined use of their IP resulting in cost of development savings and reduced time to market for their products.

As heightened competition drives semiconductor companies to innovate more quickly and deliver new products faster than ever to meet customer demands, companies must find ways to optimize how they develop and deliver products.  Leading SoC companies are looking to capitalize on and allow for reuse of their extensive IP collections to quickly deliver new and derivative designs from products that have already been successfully produced.

“While competitors are playing ‘catch-up’, this next major release of our flagship ProjectIC platform delivers revolutionary technology for IP lifecycle management to our customers. said Simon Butler, President and CEO at Methodics.  “Gone are the days when it was good enough just to have a repository of IP for reuse.  In order for companies to deliver designs on time and on budget, the entire IP lifecycle must be managed, and that requires automation in how new releases of IP are delivered and how IP are maintained in current work-in-process environments.”

ProjectIC 2.0 provides a continuous integration IP methodology allowing for SoC designs to ensure that they are always receiving the latest updates to IP being used. Since many of today’s IP’s are hierarchical, ProjectIC 2.0 also provides a hierarchical release mechanism for IP, further streamlining the IP reuse methodology.

“Many of our customers are adopting a platform based design methodology to streamline their engineering operations.” said Michael Munsey, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Accounts at Methodics.  “To enable this methodology, there must be an efficient and design centric central IP repository.  ProjectIC 2.0 is the only IP lifecycle management platform available today with the advanced features to ensure that all designs are being updated with the correct versions of the IP’s that they are using.”

Methodics will be demonstrating ProjectIC 2.0 at DAC in Austin, Texas June 6-8, 2016.  Customers should contact Methodics regarding availability and pricing.
