TT Semiconductor Announces Line of High Temperature ICs

ANAHEIM, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 13, 2016 — TT Semiconductor announced its 20 year anniversary of supporting High Temperature ICs for Harsh Environment markets. The line of products include Flash Memories, Parallel EEPROMs, Serial EEPROMs, Asynchronous SRAMs, Switch Mode Controller and a Real Time Clock. These products are designed for use in the Downhole and Energy, Jet Engine, Aircraft Landing Gear, Flight Data Recorder, Aircraft Braking Systems, Injection Molding and Generator marketplaces.

According to Jack Forthun, VP of Engineering; “Due to our successful history and valuable experience working closely with the High Temperature and Harsh Environment end customers, TT Semiconductor has been able to specifically identify, manufacture and deliver products that meet the unusual critical requirements needed in these types of applications. Since volumes tend to be small for this niche market, TT Semiconductor has worked diligently to consolidate the demand across this market to keep costs down and lead times shorter. TT Semiconductor engineering continuously develops and enhances these products through creative use of advanced packaging technology, a stable and established high reliability manufacturing infrastructure and a focused commitment to surveying the marketplace for new products that fit best with what the current market trends.”

Scott Kennedy, Principal at Logix Sales in Houston added, “For over 20 years TT Semiconductor’s products have been used in the Downhole Oil & Gas market including some of the most extreme applications of measurements while drilling (MWD), logging while drilling (LWD), open hole and cased hole wireline logging, coiled tubing and well monitoring. These extreme harsh environment applications require products that operate for thousands of hours at temperatures exceeding 200degC and are able to withstand extreme vibration and hundreds of thousands of shocks. As a former design engineer at a major Oil & Gas Services Company and now a supplier to the industry, I have a unique perspective on which manufacturers truly understand how to deliver a high quality product that can meet these demanding requirements and TT Semiconductor is one of those manufacturers.”

“TT Semiconductor is pleased to be able to support a line of products to the Harsh Environment marketplace for the past 20 years.” Randy Greene, President and CEO of TT Semiconductor stated, “TT Semiconductor is continuously investing to develop additional products, standard and custom, for Harsh Environment application market.”
