This week, the Real Football Network's Jim Miller used EA animation to demonstrate a play that is a favorite of New York Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey.

"Earlier this offseason, when there was some question as to whether Ryan Fitzpatrick was going to re-sign with the Jets, I took a look at the offense to see if there were plays that OC Chan Gailey would use no matter who ended up playing QB in 2016," said Miller. "I know Chan well.  He was the offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh when I played for the Steelers from 1994-97, so I'm very familiar with his offensive concepts and play-calling style."

When he reviewed the Jets' offense from the 2015 NFL season, Miller saw things that Gailey has been doing for years.

"As I suspected, the Jets run a play that has been a staple in Chan's playbook, and has followed him around the league everywhere he's gone," said Miller.  "It's Half Right 62 Y Read Delay. This is a 4-receiver set that gives the QB several options that are dependent on his read of the offense."

As the animation plays, Miller goes through all the assignments, from the QB, to the backs, to the receivers, and even the offensive line.

"As I said, this is a play that Chan will call no matter who's behind center, and we actually saw a little bit of this last week in the team's first preseason game, so you can expect to see it this season."

The Real Football Network has become the leading online channel for football fans who are eager to develop a deeper understanding of the game. Led by NFL insiders Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller, the Real Football Network allows fans to see and understand the game on a deeper level.
