At VRLA Expo 2017: Short Film & VR Come Together To Demonstrate New Genre Of Hyper-Immersive, Virtual Cinema

Filmmakers of "Wonder Buffalo" Discuss How Mixing Photogrammetry, Animation, and Immersive Sound Put the Movie-Goer Inside the Story Like Never Before

SAN CARLOS, Calif., April 12, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —

Who:         

The creators and supporters of the short film and virtual reality project " Wonder Buffalo", including Christine Berg, Writer/Director; Drew Diamond, Producer; Brian Frager, VR Producer, and additional representatives from collaboration sponsors Technicolor, Realtra, and Bluescape.



What:        

The unique virtual cinema experience will be on display, along with a recreation of how the experience itself was made as shown in Bluescape's visual collaboration workspace.




Also, the creators and contributors to "Wonder Buffalo" will participate in a panel discussion presented by Technicolor on how an empowering story touching on themes of bullying, body image issues, and cultural differences inspired the creation of an interactive, room scale VR experience. The panel will explain how and why they decided to take a mixed-media approach, melding photogrammetry, animation and immersive sound to connect users to the protagonist and her journey.
