SUNNYVALE, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 9, 2017Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS) today announced it will showcase its energy-efficient off-the-shelf optical light guides at LIGHTFAIR International 2017. The recently launched Rambus light guides enable customers to create ultra-thin LED edge-lit luminaires for a broad range of lighting applications. Leveraging the company’s proven MicroLens technology, the new products deliver outstanding lighting performance and superior efficiency.

Rambus will be demonstrating three new light guide product families that enable customers to develop thinner, more elegant luminaire designs to solve traditional lighting challenges. These off-the-shelf optical light guides are well suited for recessed and suspended luminaires in offices, schools, hospitals and high-bay buildings. Rambus will also be showcasing its existing line of custom light guides that provide the ultimate design flexibility for unique luminaire products. Demos will highlight the unique light patterns that come off the light guides, as well as a range of shapes that are currently available.
