Eyelit Inc. Announces Version 5.3 of Its Manufacturing Execution (MES) and Quality Management (QMS) Software

Software enhancements will drive efficiency and improved quality in diverse manufacturing segments

TORONTO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 31, 2017Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace and defense, discrete electronics, life sciences, medical device, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced today that version 5.3 of the Eyelit Manufacturing™ software suite is now available.

Version 5.3 is a major software release that includes extensive enhancements across the entire product line. Eyelit’s customer base has expanded into various segments of both hybrid and repetitive discrete manufacturing. The core MES system includes new features and improvements to manage diverse processing techniques and support a tremendous variety of innovative products and composite materials in both R&D and manufacturing.

This release streamlines the methods for managing materials in discrete manufacturing operations. There are new quality control features to help customers handle discrepant material and its impact on work in process. Eyelit Quality Management (QMS)™ and Special Processing/SWR™ improvements make quality management processes and experimentation management faster for New Product Introduction (NPI). Extensions to the ad hoc processing functions will help customers improve yields and reduce costs. There are also powerful new inhibition and dedication features that allow for better management and tracking of complex routings, and enable the adjustment of processing restrictions or limitations based on conditional rules.

Version 5.3 also includes improvements to Eyelit’s Operator Certification™ module, which enforces required operator training and periodic retraining for designated operations and related equipment. Furthermore, new rules are now available in the Advanced Dispatching™ module to factor in tool-specific capabilities, batch sizes, dedications, inhibitions, and reservations for improved quality and throughput. Customers have the ability to incorporate proprietary custom rules and algorithms. The system can also track conformance to the recommended sequence of operations for production optimization, leading to improvements in cycle time, tool utilization, throughput, and on-time customer delivery. The Asset Management™ module was enhanced with additional scheduling options to help improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

“Version 5.3 is a major breakthrough that reflects the extensive work we have done with our customers in a growing number of industry segments,” stated Dan Estrada, Eyelit’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “Its ease of use and speed of deployment for experiment management processes will enable our customers to fully utilize production capacity for both engineering and production runs. Our next release will provide major enhancements for our foundry and contract manufacturing customers who are interested in protecting critical customer information and strategic intellectual property.”
