Jun 10, 2017 - The last few months have been very exciting for Ecocapsule, the company producing the eponymous self-sustainable micro-home. The project has received financial backing from a group of international investors, thereby transforming from a start-up to a regular company. This allows the Ecocapsule team to start the next phase of final prototyping and testing, with the first Ecocapsules produced until the end of this year. Recently Ecocapsule has been selected as the highlight of the Slovak pavilion at the Expo 2017 exhibition in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Earlier this year, the successful Slovak start-up project Ecocapsule has been backed by a group of international investors, allowing them to bring their dream of a self-sustainable house to completion. The investors, persuaded by the uniqueness and potential of the product combining freedom, independence and ecological ideas, include individuals from Ecocapsule's home country of Slovakia, as well as Japan and the USA. The investment has been made possible with the help of the equity investing platform Crowdberry.
Currently, the company begins the final pre-production phase of prototyping and testing, which will be followed by the manufacturing of the first Ecocapsules. These should be in the hands of the first clients by the end of 2017. The first, exclusive edition of Ecocapsules is limited to 50 pieces. The second, mass produced edition will be available for a lower price, with an estimated start of production in late 2018.
The chance to pre-order the Ecocapsules from both series has already been used by dozens of clients, including a Hollywood celebrity.
Another great success for Ecocapsule is its selection as the highlight of the Slovak pavilion at the Expo 2017 exhibition held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The theme of Expo 2017 is green energy and sustainable future. If you would like to experience the Ecocapsule prototype live, you will have the chance to do so in Astana between the 10th of June and the 10th of September.
