Simpleware Version M-2017.06 Now Avaialble

Exeter, UK, June 15, 2017 - The latest version of Simpleware software is now available. The M-2017.06 release includes new features and performance improvements across the 3D image to model workflow, including new segmentation tools, better measurement and landmark tools, and improvements to Simpleware’s meshing capabilities.

Accelerate Segmentation

Simpleware Version M-2017.06 includes new segmentation tools to increase productivity when working with low contrast data or imaging artefacts. New features include smooth interpolation between slices and 3D wrap, which make it easier to process image data. Improvements to existing features include updates to the fill gaps and 3D editing tools.

Improved CAD Positioning

A user-friendly landmark registration tool allows users to select points on ‘moving’ and ‘fixed’ objects, interactively select points in the 3D view, and automatically register the ‘moving’ object based on the best fit of landmark points. 2D surface object nudge capabilities also make it straightforward to position CAD objects within image data.

Enhanced Visualisation and Inspection

The new release enhances the software’s visualisation performance, enabling users to reduce time and enjoy better interaction with 3D models. Get more from image data by viewing multiple measurements simultaneously, and benefit from enhancements to centreline measurement tools. Quantify image data and obtain results quickly and easily.

Strengthening Meshing Productivity

The new release improves Simpleware’s ability to generate simulation-ready meshes for FE and CFD. In version M-2017.06, there are several new optimisation features to help users create meshes tailored to their simulation and computational requirements.
