Markforged Adds Former Twilio and Cisco Executive to Support 300% Growth and Global Expansion

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 11, 2017Markforged, the only company that prints the entire range of strong parts from carbon fiber to metal with cloud managed 3D printers, today announced the appointment of Jason Eubanks as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer. Jason’s experience scaling high growth companies is timely as Markforged has experienced revenue growth of over 300% year over year while introducing new Metal 3D printer to the market. Eubanks has spent 18 years building and leading go-to-market teams for disruptive companies.

Prior to joining Markforged, Jason was the Global Vice President of Sales, Services and Alliances at Twilio, the world’s leading developer platform for software embedded communications. In that role, he led inside and field sales teams, directed strategic alliances and expert services as part of the senior leadership team who saw Twilio through explosive growth and an IPO in 2016 as part of Twilio’s journey to becoming a $2.2B public company.

Jason previously ran Worldwide Field Sales at Meraki; a Cloud networking start up out of San Francisco which was acquired by Cisco Systems, INC for $1.2B in 2012. Jason joined Meraki prior to Cisco’s acquisition of the company, where he built a sales team that boasted record growth in revenue over Jason’s four years of leadership from 2011 to 2015. Jason’s global field teams were directly responsible for 50% of the company’s total annual revenues of $600M in 2015.

Jason also held sales leadership positions at CA Technologies and BMC Software.

“The team at Markforged has done a fantastic job building a great business delivering real value to customers. The company is changing the way people bring products to market with 3D printed strong parts across materials from carbon fiber, kevlar, fiberglass, and a wide range of metals. Markforged customers are getting to market with 90% efficiency gains and an ROI in weeks,” says Eubanks.

“Jason’s experience with delivering hyper-growth, industry disruption and customer focused product innovation make him a compelling addition to the team at Markforged,” says Greg Mark, CEO of Markforged. “Jason will be an integral part of our ability to continue to grow on a global scale. We are fortunate to have him.”

“I grew up in a small town built around the manufacturing industry,” adds Eubanks. “My mother worked for a large food equipment company for 42 years where I completed a college internship. Operations like that facility have struggled to compete in a global market with cost pressures and rapidly changing customer demands while using decades old manufacturing technology and processes,” says Eubanks. “A company like Markforged has the power to change all this. When researching the company, I asked my mother if she would have purchased a Markforged printer. Her response was that the technology would have saved countless pushed projects from going over budget and time. I am thrilled to be joining the team at Markforged and look forward to delivering breakthrough value for our customers.”
