BaySpec will present its latest Hyperspectral Imaging and Spectroscopy Solutions at SPIE: Photonics West 2018

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29, 2018 — (PRNewswire) —

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- BaySpec, Inc., a leading supplier of high performance spectrometers, spectral engines and spectral analyzers, will present its latest Hyperspectral Imaging and Spectroscopy Solutions at SPIE: Photonics West 2018, January 30-February 1, 2018 Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA, Booth 2225. Featured products include the new snapshot imager GoldenEyeTM, the new palm spectrometer BreezeTM, a full line of OCITM hyperspectral imagers, high-performance OEM/custom imaging spectrographs, and SuperGamut™ UV to SWIR Spectrometers.

BaySpec introduces its latest products, i.e. GoldenEyeTM and BreezeTM.  The new GoldenEyeTM is the only Snapshot imager covering the extended range from 400nm to 1700nm.  Using FT-PI BaySpec's proprietary technology, the novel imager features high sensitivity as compared to other imagers, and is particularly suitable for low light level applications, such as fluorescence imaging.  The new BreezeTM is the world's smartest palm spectrometer (400-1700nm). Featuring proprietary miniaturized optics and a simple one-button operation, BreezeTM brings laboratory performance to a handheld form. This smart device allows for wireless communication to any smartphone via Bluetooth interface. The phone app allows users to setup their own databases for sample analysis at anywhere and anytime.

BaySpec also showcases its OCI™ (phonetic spelling of "All Seeing Eye") family of imagers, a new class of ultra-compact imaging sensors.  These imagers cover the 400-1700nm spectral region and ranging from 8 to 220 spectral bands. Imagers are available in both handheld and OEM/UAV-ready configurations in Push-Broom and Snapshot formats. Compactness, simple operation, and intuitive software make the OCI™ family of imagers very straightforward for applications such as precision agriculture, remote sensing, forensics, defense and homeland security and other airborne applications.

BaySpec offers a variety of systems, components and accessories tailored to the most demanding applications. We specialize in developing leading-edge optical solutions for real-world problems, such as observing small concentration changes, non-contact material identification, detection of trace substances, or measurement of spectra from multiple sources at the same time. All spectrometers are based on the rugged, field-tested transmission geometry of our pedigreed telecom products. As such, our devices are ideal for field and in-line/at-line process monitoring in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, industrial, agricultural, security and military marketplaces.
