Tadpole-Cartesia Adds to Its ESRI Enterprise Field Systems Suite With Release of GO! Sync for ArcPad 9.0 Software

Designed around ESRI's ArcGIS 9.0 technology, GO! Sync for ArcPad 9.0 creates a data management system for field users to automatically update and synchronize data stored on handheld devices with central Enterprise GIS

Carlsbad (California), January 11, 2005 - Tadpole-Cartesia, the geospatial solutions division of Tadpole Technology plc (LSE-TAD), today announces general availability of new functionality software for ESRI's ArcPad.

Built using ArcGIS 9.0 technology, with support for ArcGIS 8.X included, the software gives unprecedented field practicality to ESRI's ArcPad by automating the process of fully synchronizing fresh GIS data between ArcSDE or Personal Geodatabases and shapefiles stored on handheld devices when docked or on-line. Simple to install and use, the software ensures reliable data transactions, and is a seamless extension to ArcGIS.

Tadpole-Cartesia, a strategic business partner of ESRI, sees its automated geosystem as a compelling business solution for enterprises and organizations with extended field forces. They become more productive, efficient and can respond faster to customer needs. Utilities, state and local government agencies and water/wastewater organizations figure high on its target industries.

"Tadpole-Cartesia's GO! Sync for ArcPad 9.0 is the hub of the first truly automated data management system for organizations looking to extend ArcPad to large field forces," said Don Fryhover, Tadpole-Cartesia's director of sales and marketing for North American operations. "Combined with ArcPad, any PDA device and our expertise in developing custom applications, the industry now has a one-stop shop for extended enterprise deployments of ArcPad."

Initially, the system will be sold by Tadpole-Cartesia direct to ESRI's worldwide customer base. Special early-adopter packages run through Q1, 2005. Call 760-929-8345, or email Email Contact, for details.
