Motorola Solutions Advances First Responder End-to-End Software Experience

Integrated Avigilon video analytics and command center software scenario showcased at IACP 2018

ORLANDO, Fla. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 5, 2018 — Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), the only company offering an end-to-end software suite for first responders, continues to advance the mission-critical communications experience to help protect those who protect us.

At the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2018, Motorola Solutions will demonstrate a software scenario from the beginning of a police event through its closure. Each step will be shown in the company’s CommandCentral software suite that works across emergency call handling, command and control, and records and evidence management.

“Motorola Solutions is changing the experience for law enforcement officials by providing them with software that works together through every step of an incident,” said Andrew Sinclair, general manager and corporate vice president, Software Enterprise, Motorola Solutions. “We’re automating tasks and equipping first responders with critical data and intelligence that enables them to focus their time and effort on protecting the communities they serve.”

NEW AT IACP 2018

CommandCentral Aware now powered with Avigilon advanced video analytics

On Tuesday, Oct. 2, Motorola Solutions announced the enhanced CommandCentral Aware integration with Avigilon Control CenterTM (ACC) video management software that now includes Avigilon’s patented self-learning video analytics.

Command center analysts have one integrated source for the actionable information they need to help first responders on the front line. With Avigilon’s self-learning video analytics, the movement of people and vehicles of interest is automatically detected and CommandCentral Aware operators are alerted to potentially critical events that may need further investigation, helping them take decisive action.

“Integrating our patented analytics into CommandCentral Aware provides analysts a unique and powerful security and critical communications solution for fast response and reduced investigation times,” said James Henderson, Avigilon’s president and chief operating officer.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) chooses Motorola Solutions’ new Digital Evidence Management System

On Thursday, Oct. 4, Motorola Solutions announced LVMPD’s selection of the company’s Digital Evidence Management system. This end-to-end solution is unique to the market in that it ensures the integrity of evidence while also simplifying workflows for police officers via a single sign-on portal for all evidence tied to an incident.

LVMPD will be using:

  • CommandCentral Vault to collect, store and make readily accessible digital evidence, including fixed video footage, crime scene photos and other data, to quickly respond to information requests and keep cases moving forward.
  • CommandCentral Aware to aggregate and integrate streaming video, real-time alerts, advanced data analytics, resource tracking, social media analytics, voice, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), records information and more into a single, intuitive interface with layered geospatial mapping.
  • CommandCentral Analytics to compile historical incident data from existing computer-aided dispatch and record systems into heat charts, graphs, maps and activity timeline views.

The CommandCentral software experience and these new solutions will be shown in Motorola Solutions’ booth #2201, Oct. 7-9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
