Active-Semi reduces the system cost of BLDC motor control with the addition of the PAC5222 to its Power Application Controller® (PAC®) family optimized for low voltage and size constrained applications
DALLAS — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 26, 2018 — The PAC5222 is an Arm® Cortex®-M0 intelligent motor controller that has an optimized Analog Front End (AFE) to align with the demand for smaller, lower component count systems with reduced PCB (Printed Circuit Board) area. The PAC5222 enables board layouts that can be mounted directly on the back of a BLDC or PMSM motor.

The combination of a high power Arm® and dedicated Analog Front End enables designers to utilize the PAC5222 in cost sensitive applications. This is supported with the integrated gate drivers, signal conditioning and power management controllers to reduce external component count. This reduces PCB size, Time to Market and increases the system reliability with lower failure points.
