Aras to Present Strategies to Scale Simulation for Verification and Validation at NAFEMS Automotive Engineering Conference

ANDOVER, MA  —  Thursday, November 1, 2018 -  Aras, the  leader in open product lifecycle management (PLM) for the enterprise, today announced that Marc Lind, Aras SVP of Strategy, and Malcolm Panthaki, Aras Vice President of Analysis Solutions, will be presenting at NAFEMS’  Engineering Analysis & Simulation in the Automotive Industry conference , Creating the Next Generation Vehicle, on Thursday, November 8th in Troy, MI. Their presentation will explore the importance of simulation automation to enable advanced product design.

Thanks to advances like electrification of powertrains for cleaner emissions and more efficient consumption, fast, wireless charging batteries, and the fully autonomous vehicle, the automotive industry is experiencing technological transformation on a larger scale than ever before. As the automotive industry moves away from physical testing to almost a full virtual simulation product verification process, it’s more important than ever that automotive engineers have the tools they need to work faster than ever before. With the recent acquisition of Comet Solutions, Aras closes the gap between simulation and mainstream design by providing simulation analysts with the means to repeat and reuse simulation while connecting their analysis to through-life product configuration and cross-discipline design.

In their presentation, “Intelligent Simulation Automation is Foundational to a Widening Technology Landscape,” Mr. Lind and Mr. Panthaki will explore why effective simulation process and data management (SPDM) is essential for organizations to scale the use of simulation in order to replace physical testing and verify design. They will present use cases in automotive, electronics and heavy equipment industries to demonstrate how various companies have achieved ROI through simulation process management. Attendees may join their presentation at 11:10am in room 101.

In addition to presenting, Aras will be an event sponsor. To schedule a meeting in advance, please contact Kim Anastasiou at  Email Contact.
