EAST WINDSOR, Conn. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — November 7, 2018 — EthosEnergy has invested in a new and innovative 3D printing manufacturing process to be completed in-house at its East Windsor site in Connecticut, USA.
This process will allow reverse engineering of gas turbine parts, and provide the ability to model and print EthosEnergy designed parts, create and print parts that have become obsolete, and decrease manufacturing hours, design and costs.
Tom Watson, President of Accessories and Components at EthosEnergy said, “EthosEnergy is committed to innovation. We believe this technology will improve our turnaround times, reduce costs and expand the scope of engine types we support.
“Our ability to complete the process in house and in a short period of time will stand out to our customers’ and will enhance our operations.”
Previously this process would have been subcontracted and to obtain parts using traditional manufacturing would have taken three to six months. EthosEnergy can now complete this process in four to eight weeks.
