ANDOVER, MA - Thursday, November 8, 2018 - Aras, the leader in open product lifecycle management (PLM) for the enterprise, today announced that Malcolm Panthaki, Aras Vice President of Analysis Solutions, will present at the European NAFEMS SPDM Conference on Thursday, November 29th in Munich, Germany. His presentation will explore simulation and the complex requirements of modern SPDM.
As manufacturers and suppliers globally face growing product complexity, the Digital Thread has emerged as a communication framework for distributing product lifecycle information—and as businesses seek opportunities for innovation and for keeping up with the competition, simulation capabilities have become more important than ever before. Aras believes the same characteristics of next-generation PLM – built on a platform that is open, flexible, scalable, and upgradable – must also apply to SPDM for it to effectively manage simulation at scale.
In his presentation, “Abstract Data Model for the Complex Requirements of Modern SPDM,” Mr. Panthaki will discuss why effective simulation process and data management (SPDM) is essential for organizations to scale the use of simulation in order to replace physical testing and verify design. He will present use cases in the aerospace, heavy equipment, and electronics industries to demonstrate how various companies have achieved ROI through simulation process management. Attendees may join his presentation in Session 6A – CAE Workflows: PIDO in SDM or PLM at 12:00pm.
In addition to presenting at the event, Aras is a platinum sponsor and attendees are encouraged to visit the Aras booth. To schedule a meeting in advance, please contact Kim Anastasiou at Email Contact.
