nano3Dprint Announces Availability of A2200 Multimaterials 3D Electronics Printer

BURLINGAME, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — December 11, 2018 — nano3Dprint, today announced worldwide availability of its initial product – the A2200 multimaterials 3D electronics printer – on its website, www.nano3Dprint.com and through its distributors. nano3Dprint also announced its partnership with Simplify3D to provide bundled multimaterials software for creating 3D devices with embedded circuitry on the nano3Dprint A2200. Spun off from NASA and incubated for a decade under the wings of Captains of the Semiconductor Industry, nano3Dprint is poised to change how we think about and use the everyday objects around us, thereby altering manufacturing, sales, and distribution forever.

nano3Dprint is bringing to the Additive Manufacturing (AM) market a game changing 3D printer that brings Science Fiction to life. The first printer this band of rebel engineers are bringing to market addresses the burgeoning Printed Electronics (PE) industry. The A2200 printhead combines an FDM extruder with a high precision dispenser for conductive or functional pastes/inks. The high-performance A2200 prints wires, circuits, PCBs, interconnects, electronic components, and functional elements directly into the printed object as a continuous part. Even the batteries can be placed into the object during the print and when it's done, flip the switch and turn it on. "The A2200 is the worlds first commercial desktop system for printing embedded electronics that can do what larger footprint systems that cost 10 even 100 times more to own and operate can do," says CEO Ramsey Stevens.

In addition nano3Dprint employs an on-demand manufacturing strategy that essentially merges the factory and the warehouse by providing same-day production-to-delivery prototyping capability for A2200 customers. This means that an increasing number of objects we might purchase from a physical store or buy from an online retailer can instead be produced onsite or in the home using a nano3Dprint A2200 printer with plastics, functional "Inks" and a set of standard electronic components. This represents an enormous opportunity for independent designers and inventors to sell their fully designed products directly with no factory, no warehouse, no shipping and no retailers. Won't that be interesting? nano3Dprint will be highlighting the capabilities of the A2200 and spurring growth in the sector by holding design contests for the world’s first fully 3D printed electric motor and other industry firsts.

nano3Dprint will also be introducing an SPM based 3D printer (D4200) to market with all of the multimaterials and PE capabilities of the A2200 with ultra high resolution. The printer uses piezo ceramic positioning and is capable of printing features as small as one billionth of a meter. nano3Dprint is currently working with Developers and researchers but ultimately even consumers can print sophisticated devices such as cell phones and computers at home. Then we will really be living in the 21st century.
