“Joining the Embedded Vision Alliance was a natural step for Percepio after the launch of Tracealyzer for OpenVX. The EVA is a perfect forum for showing the potential of advanced trace visualization for performance optimization of embedded vision applications,” says Mike Skrtic, VP Marketing and Sales at Percepio.

Percepio will also attend the  Embedded Vision Summit in May 2019 and present its unique software tracing technology to the broader embedded computer vision market.

Computer vision has become a core feature for all sorts of embedded systems, as in self-driving cars, skin cancer detection systems and autonomous robots. Getting the most out of this technology requires careful software design and optimization. For this purpose, Percepio recently released  Tracealyzer for OpenVX, the world’s first trace profiler for computer vision application framework OpenVX.

Initially Tracealyzer supports OpenVX on  Synopsys ARC DesignWare EV6x Embedded Vision/AI processors. Support for additional computer vision platforms is in the works.
