57th Design Automation Conference To Be a Virtual Experience for 2020

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 6, 2020 – The 57th  Design Automation Conference (DAC) executive committee, together with the conference sponsors the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) have decided to move DAC 2020 to a virtual event format scheduled for July 19 – 23, 2020.  Concerns about the health and safety of conference participants and attendees as well as Moscone Center being designated as a care site during the COVID-19 pandemic have made it impossible to host the 57th DAC in San Francisco, CA as planned.

In collaboration with our authors, sponsors, exhibitors and the entire DAC community, the DAC executive committee teams are committed to make the DAC 2020 virtual experience a successful and memorable event. We are confident that we will deliver and meet the expectations of the DAC attendees with a technically rich, compelling and immersive 2020 program.  Additionally, we are optimistic that this new format will allow more of our global community to come together and participate in the industry’s premier event for design and automation of electronic circuits and systems.

As details of the virtual event become more clear in the next two weeks,  the DAC organization will notify the community.  Current DAC 2020 exhibitors will be contacted by DAC’s exhibition management company, Hall-Erickson, with more exhibitor details on the virtual event.

About DAC
The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is recognized as the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems, and for electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solutions. A diverse worldwide community of more than 1,000 organizations attends each year, represented by system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives as well as researchers and academicians from leading universities. Nearly 60 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, methodologies and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its exhibition and suite area, with approximately 200 of the leading and emerging EDA, silicon, and intellectual property (IP) companies and design services providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is supported by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design.

Design Automation Conference acknowledges trademarks or registered trademarks of other organizations for their respective products and services.
