Globally Recognized Fabrication SME To Join ENGworks

Data integration for interoperability, analytics and sustainability throughout the construction lifecycle

CHICAGO, June 17, 2020 — (PRNewswire) —

CHICAGO, June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ENGworks, the internationally recognized leader in Building Information Modeling (BIM) services and solutions to the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Owner Community (AEC/O) today announced, Dave Mangham will join the team as Director of Global Fabrication Data Integration. ENGworks has been establishing strategic alliances with some key industry vendors in an effort to build a Global Content Network bent on establishing much needed standards and quality guidelines.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) continues to impact the design to construction lifecycle with demands for a greater variety of content formats and richer product data. "We see fabrication as a critical link in the BIM process. You cannot deliver on the promises of data integration, analytics and sustainability without it. Dave is recognized as one of the industry's most accomplished fabrication experts who will greatly help this global mission," said Chris Di Iorio, CEO of ENGworks.

Building Product Manufacturers (BPM), as the owners of this much needed product data for fabrication, are important players achieving these goals. BPMs must adapt their digital marketing strategy to deliver higher quality BIM-ready content to serve the new tools and processes, not just in design, but through to fabrication and construction.

Mr. Mangham brings over 30 years of experience in the AEC/O industry and is well versed in the needs of Owners, BPMs, and contractors. Originally from Ramsbottom, in the North West of England, Mangham was instrumental in the development of the industry leading fabrication packages from MAP Software (CAMduct, ESTmep and CADduct) which was subsequently acquired by Autodesk in 2011. His hands-on experience comes from working in both the CAM and CAD departments of a large HVAC construction company in Australia, where he also contributed to the BIM MEPAUS initiative and many Autodesk University lectures. It is this level of credibility, across all facets of the industry - consulting, contracting, manufacturing, project engineering, database management – that makes Dave a unique leader in the fabrication space.
