Aplines Hosts Introduction to Risk-Based Asset Management Webinar for Electric Utilities Worldwide

Paris, France (June 15, 2021) – Aplines, an asset management software company for the electric utilities industry, announced today that it will host a webinar for electric utilities on how to get started in risk-based asset management. Aplines, a Schneider Electric Venture, empowers utilities to better manage aging assets, environmental risks, costs and performance for critical infrastructure.

Implementing a risk-based asset management approach can help utilities better understand health and criticality of their assets, determine how long assets will last, when to replace them and see future financial projections up to 30 years out.

During the webinar, attendees will hear about risk-based asset management and learn:

  • How utilities can start making informed and justifiable decisions about their assets, even with a minimal data set.
  • Why adopting a risk-based approach is a future proof initiative that will keep electric utilities on top of the game in meeting evolving regulatory demands.
  • How the asset management framework allows integrating environmental risks to help utilities further optimize investments and ensure network reliability.

Knowing the potential risks an asset faces based on age, vegetation and other factors can help determine if the investment into that asset is necessary.
