Leica Geosystems Announces Release of Leica Photogrammetry Suite V8.7 Service Pack 2 - ADS40 Update

21 June 2005 - Atlanta, GA - Leica Geosystems GIS & Mapping, LLC today announced the release of Leica Photogrammetry Suite (LPS) V8.7 Service Pack 2 (SP2) – ADS40 Update. The update provides users the ability to process images captured with the Leica ADS40 Airborne Digital Sensor. Concurrently released are updates for Leica GPro and ORIMA Orientation Management Software. These releases work together to facilitate a complete digital workflow in LPS using ADS40 data.

LPS SP2 – ADS40 Update makes it possible to process ADS40 imagery in LPS through the incorporation of the updated releases of GPro and ORIMA for LPS. GPro V3.0, the ground processing software for the ADS40, features improved data download and archiving capabilities, along with expanded coordinate systems support, and better integrated image viewing. Enhancements in ORIMA for LPS V8.72A include support for ADS triangulation and automatic variance component adjustment (for Frame and ADS).

Previously, LPS users could only view ADS40 data. The latest release makes it possible for all LPS users, even those that do not own a sensor, to process ADS40 imagery and produce image, feature, and terrain products without the need for 3rd party software. This complete solution enables users to move through the entire photogrammetric workflow with technology from Leica Geosystems.

“The LPS SP2 – ADS40 Update, is yet another example of how our products can provide a complete solution to empower imaging professionals along the entire photogrammetric workflow,” said Wendy Watson, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Leica Geosystems GIS & Mapping. “The new processing capabilities in this LPS release, along with the GPro and ORIMA updates, equip all of our users with the tools to process ADS40 imagery, allowing more people to benefit from the high quality, superior data the ADS40 provides.”
