UltraMatch, the new revolutionary photogrammetry processing and LiDAR Geo-referencing software

March 31, 2022 -- MetaSpatial Solutions Pty Ltd., an Australian Geospatial Technology company, announced today the release of new cutting-edge all-in-one enterprise-grade photogrammetry processing solution. This unique software is capable of full production automation, systems integration and distributed multiple PCs utilization capability for a cost-effective, scalable, and reliable production.

Terrestrial, aerial and spaceborne data support

Images collected by mobile phones, UAVs, manned aircraft, large format cameras as well as spaceborne stereo and tri-stereo imagery captured by satellites are supported for fully streamlined data and GIS-ready map production with minimal human interaction. The recent disruptive SmartSurveyor mobile mapping system, which was released by the company last month, has empowered smart phones, for instance an iPhone, to collect imagery for survey-grade mapping, inspection and GIS application with better than 3cm XYZ accuracy. A fully automated workflow from data capture to GCP collection and fast and accurate map production is enabled with the combination of the SmartSurveyor and UltraMatch solutions.

GNSS raw data pipeline

Typically, for minimizing the number of required ground control points, photogrammetry capture platforms employ an external GNSS/IMU system for accurate image geotagging and precise production, however this data has to be separately processed in an external third-party software to be used for geotaggimg the collected imagery. This introduces uncertainties for non-technical users dealing with technical GNSS, Geoid and Datum transformation challenges. With the UltraMatch solution, an automated raw GNSS data synchronization and correction method has been seamlessly coupled with the photogrammetry processing engine eliminating all the technical challenges for a smooth and hassle-free production for everyone not just specialized operators. Raw GNSS data from SmartSurveyor, DJI RTK drones and manned aircraft direct geo-referencing systems are supported by the software.

Accelerated Automation and Integration

Automation is a key factor for saving time, cost and resources specially for massive and complex projects. The UltraMatch solution offers full API level automation to integrate with other systems and processes such as real-time applications, hybrid desktop and cloud computing and embedded applications. Publishing processed data and streaming in standard protocols consumable by concurrent users in typical desktop or web-based GIS and analytics software is one of the unique capabilities of the UltraMatch software.
