Maxar: New Satellite Imagery of Earthquakes Aftermath in Turkey and Syria

European Space Imaging partner, Maxar, has recently collected additional high-resolution satellite imagery of the aftermath of the earthquakes that struck Turkey and northwest Syria last week. Recovery and debris removal operations can be seen in progress in multiple cities across the affected area including Kahramanmaras which suffered extensive building damage in the center of the city. Southeast of the city, a large mass burial cemetery has been rapidly expanding as more earthquake victims are found in the city. Similar activity involving the construction of a new cemetery is also seen northeast of Antakya. Recent earthquake damage is also seen throughout the Syrian city of Jindires. Please see the imagery details listed below for additional locations and activity. As always, let us know if you have any questions about the imagery, information or need anything else.
