ENCY Software Unveils Updates 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 for Its CAD/CAM/OLP Solutions
December 17, 2024, Limassol, Cyprus - ENCY Software, a European developer of innovative CAD/CAM/OLP solutions for automating CNC machine and industrial robot programming, is proud to announce the release of updates 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 for ENCY and ENCY Robot.
These updates introduce numerous new features for ENCY users, with particular focus from the developers on enhancing MachineMaker and ENCY Clouds.
1. Section Plane
A major highlight of this update is the new
Section Plane feature. With this functionality, users can now activate a Section Plane for any 3D model, making it easier to view and fine-tune operations for undercut areas. Previously, this capability was available only for turning operations. Now, users can create a section along a chosen face by selecting it and clicking the “Section” button, expanding the toolset available for more complex tasks.
2. Convenience Enhancements
The update also includes several enhancements aimed at improving usability:
- Auxiliary Coordinate System: The creation menu has been updated for more intuitive operation.
- Angle by Curve: This new option has been added to the Rotary operations, facilitating more versatile machining strategies.
3. Radial Stock and Axial Stock in the "Impeller Machining" Operation
The "Impeller Machining" operation now features separate Radial and Axial stock (Stock to leave) parameters, allowing users greater flexibility in defining machining parameters. Negative values are supported.
4. New Auxiliary Geometry Icon Design
In any operation's Job Assignment, users can construct auxiliary geometry. To access the auxiliary geometry menu, ensure Geometry Model visibility is enabled.
5. Improved Job Assignment for the "Swarf" Operation
The Swarf operation now supports Job Assignments based on two curves, which is especially useful for parts with interruptions like holes.
6. New Parameters for Additive Operations
Additive operations now include two new parameters: "Minimum layer time" and "Lift head":
- Minimum Layer Time specifies the minimum time (in seconds) required to print a single layer. This ensures that the material has adequate time to cool before the next layer is applied, improving print quality.
- Lift head allows the extruder to retract by a specified distance. The retraction occurs normal to the last point of the layer and then returns to the same point to continue printing. After retraction, the previous feed rate is reactivated, and the printing process resumes as normal.
7.Other Improvements:
- A scroll bar has been added to the Visual Machine Properties window for more convenient handling of equipment configurations containing 15 or more parameters.
- Improved the performance of the Machining Report feature.
- Added support for SCARA robot kinematics.
- In ENCY Tuner, the flag for a new operation is now set on the first G53 command before the tool is called.
- Updated smart hints for several operations.
What's New in ENCY MachineMaker:
- Added support for ABB IRB5510/12 robots, featuring specific kinematics of the 5th axis.
- Positioners in cells designed in MachineMaker can now be enabled or disabled in ENCY Robot on the Setup tab.
- Special characters are now allowed in robot names.
- Users can explicitly name Tool nodes, which is helpful during post-processor debugging.
What's New in ENCY Clouds:
- ENCY Clouds App is now available on the Apple App Store.
- One-Click Registration and Login: Seamless sign-up and authorization using Apple ID.
- Cross-Platform Accessibility: Access ENCY Clouds through mobile apps, ENCY products, and browser-based interfaces.
- Image Pasting in Browser: Easily paste images directly from the clipboard using Ctrl+V.
- Open Projects with ENCY: Use the “Open With ENCY” button in the browser to load projects directly into ENCY without manual downloads.
- 3D Model Preview: Both the app and browser support the preview of large 3D model files.
Bug Fixes
In addition to new features, updates 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 come with numerous fixes that address known issues, ensuring a more stable and seamless user experience.
These enhancements reinforce ENCY's dedication to delivering high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of users of CAD/CAM and offline programming (OLP) solutions across various industries.
