Intermap Technologies Signs Partner Agreement with CyberCity for Creation of 3-D Visualization Models for California Counties

DENVER—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Sept. 5, 2006— Intermap Technologies, Inc. (TSX: IMP.TO) (AIM: IMAP.L), a geospatial leader, has entered an agreement with CyberCity 3D LLC to use Intermap's highly accurate elevation models in conjunction with ViewTec's state-of-the-art TerrainView(TM) software to create precision 3-D visualization models of five California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, and Ventura. The resulting models, named "3D Terrains," will be available in the coming weeks.

Each county, ranging in size from 945 to 4,752 square miles, will feature aerial imagery draped over Intermap's elevation data that has a vertical accuracy of one meter or better. Users of the TerrainView(TM) software may select from a wide palette of environmental attributes, including time-of-day; skybox; distant haze; volumetric clouds; and rain, snow, and wind effects to generate realistic scenes within these counties. They will also have the ability to create and save flight paths, points of interest, and take 3-D measurements of the displayed areas and features.

"The combination of highly accurate elevation data and aerial imagery displayed using the powerful TerrainView(TM) application will provide government and commercial agencies with the ability, never before available, to visually plan in three-dimensions on a seamless, county-wide basis," commented Eric DesRoche, Intermap's senior vice president of strategic business development.

"We are extremely excited to be partnering with Intermap to offer 3D Terrains in California with the anticipation of expanding to other geographic areas," commented Kevin DeVito, CyberCity 3D's managing director. "Equally exciting is that users will be able to visualize, explore, and manipulate geographically expansive and detailed worlds on Windows PCs or via the web."

The 3-D models will be utilized by local and state government agencies, as well as commercial enterprises, in the fields of urban planning, utilities and telecommunications infrastructure, watershed management, tourism, safety, and navigation.

About Intermap Technologies

Intermap enables customers to facilitate better decision-making and create applications for numerous commercial, governmental, military, and consumer products through the purchase of uniform, accurate, and affordable elevation datasets. The company is proactively remapping entire countries and building unprecedented national databases, called NEXTMap, consisting of highly accurate digital topographic maps that include elevation data.

Demand for NEXTMap data is growing as new commercial applications are emerging, including geographical information systems (GIS), engineering planning, transportation, automotive, navigation, flood, irrigation, environmental management and planning, telecommunications/wireless network planning, aviation, simulation, and 3D visualization. Internet applications include virtual tours, topographic maps and computer games. Datasets are also used to add interactive intelligence to airborne and satellite imagery.
